About Jeanne
I am a 50-something woman who is in the midst of a transformation of myself and my life following the loss of my husband in early 2021. I am originally from Memphis, TN, and currently reside in the Danville, VA, area. I spent 20 years in the Navy, living in various places in the US and in Europe. I have two Pugs who are always beside me (one of them is sleeping in my lap as I write this.), and I have a teenaged daughter that you will read more about throughout my blog. I enjoy traveling, painting, working out (though admittedly, I haven’t since the day my husband died.), and writing. I am sober, a suicide survivor, and have survived several traumatic incidents throughout my life. I suffer from PTSD and anxiety, but I am doing my best to manage them with the help of my care team. People tell me that I am strong, so my hope is that if I share my experiences,
